Herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea and HPV—or genital warts— can be transferred from an infected person either through fellatio or cunnilingus. So both men AND women are at risk here. Herpes is the most common STI transmitted through oral sex, but if your partner is infected, you’re at risk for WHATEVER STI he or she is carrying.
